I just purchased a HP DV7-1533CA at Costco, I'm happy with the specs but the screen is atrocious. I watch alot of movies on my laptop and I just can't put up with this crap they call a screen.
From what I hear, Sony laptop screen is of high quality so I was hoping you guys can assist in picking out a model that would be suitable for my needs.

I only need the laptop for three things, watching movies, listening to music and surfing the web. The requirements are, it must have a good screen (hdmi output preferably, wouldn't mind paying extra) and exceptional onboard speakers (will pay extra for spdif out). I tend to multitask so I need something with a decent cpu and min of 4GB of ram.

    Budget $1000-$1200

I was looking around and this caught my eyes, VGNNS190DW at Bestbuy.ca for $999 (sorry can't post link).

NS series does not have HDMI. Look at FW seris instead. May just fit your budget.

The FW Series is a 16.4" laptop, but yeah, check it out.

FW as mentioned, but people have said the onboard speakers are not good enough.

a FW with bluray drive and 1920x1080 screen and hdmi would be a nice choice but not sure on the price on the US site, you might be able to knock its price down if you bargain.

Based on the review, the FW onboard speakers are a let down. So what are my option guys?
