I'd have to go for polished mosaic.
Very sleek looking. -
Th black looks so wrong.

Black is ugly as hell

Lol :d:d:d:d:d

I went with the Black. I thought the white after a while would show wear more. When I saw one with the Mosaic up close I didn't like it. I which they would just continute the metal or silver up to the front then have just a black keyboard.
-
any others?!?!
...why would the white show more wear? -
The black keyboard would show wear much more easily than the white, but the white would show dirt more easily obviously. What I mean by keyboard wear is after a while, certain parts of the keys where your fingers hit the key will become worn out and shiny, wearing out the finish.
Both colors look nice to me, like the all white but also the contrast the black offers. -
the sony rep...told me that the black mosaic is horrible. he was surprised they were offering it again. he said that eventually chipping and etc would occur with the mosaic...at least he was honest with me.
he said the black would show less wear...but, iono...i do like the white...just nervous to get the wrong color.... -
bump.....
-
does anybody here have any laptop with white keyboard and white around it? ...i do like the white...just afraid to get it.
-
I vote black but if you like the white then its not the wrong color to get
-
just nervous to get it simply of wear issues. i'm hearing black will show wear....and then i hear white will show...
i just keep thinking of macbook users...and neither of them complained...iono.... -
I have never seen the white in person, so can't comment, except that I expect it will show dirt more. It certainly does on the matte white MacBooks.
The black interior looks very nice and I think the interior will be durable, but I chose mosaic because the interior looks the nicest and the exterior looks more durable. EDIT: I actually meant "Snakeskin"; I've never seen Polished Mosaic.
The white and black have the same matte plain silver exterior, which I think might show scratches, while the mosaic finish applies to both the interior and exterior (on the FZ200 series anyway) and it looks like defects would be camouflaged by the mosaic pattern. I am somewhat concerned that it may be metal (I am not sure), in which case it might ding, and might be conductive like the Dell XPS 1330 and 1530. -

Personally, I'd take the mosaic, but you should choose what ever you like! Notebooks are like shoes:
The better they are, the more you use them and the more awful they look after 2~3 years.
When you see a really worn laptop... can you really tell if it was badly made, or just used for hours and hours? Taken everywhere?
Sweaped 10x more often then a "disliked one"?
Here a pic of my KB of a TZ90HS. 4 month old, probably 1000hrs of working after birth:
I mean: its remarkeable, but not terrible... they are like shoes... -
If you're worried about it showing wear on the palm rests always have a small towel there. That's what I do with my SZ, and no scratches or any sort of wear. I've actually took off the towel a couple times and hit it with jewelry I have on, but thankfully it didn't do anything. -
isn't their a protector that covers the keyboard and the outside area as well?

johannes, german boy, do you by any chance have the part # for the US keyboard
, so I can swap it in my TZ90
-
i believe imma go with the white....
its different..and looks appealing. -
-
I will take an Irish coffee. Thanks.

I thought I had seen a laptop in Polished Mosaic, but now I realize it may have been "Snakeskin," which is available on FZ290's in Canada, for example. How similar/different are they?
Which color?
