I am currently owned an SZ110 and want to sell it to a classmate and buy a new SZ laptop. But i'm clueless to which one I should buy. Any suggestions would appreciate.

It really depends on your needs (the desired use of the machine) and your budget.

For me its the premium 160 model as it has everything except the Cingular Edge WWAN. I use Verizon EV-DO which is faster so I dont need the 170 or 180 that include the built in Cingular WWAN.

My needs were, partially, a light laptop with optical drive, fast speed, long battery life (jury is still out on that) and a big enough screen if clients had to look at it they aren't squinting. The SZ 160 with a light carbon fiber body, dual layer dvd burner, 1GB RAM, Core Duo processor and 13.3 screen fit the bill. I’m still trying to tell how much time the battery is giving but it definitely isn’t what was promised. All the other bells and whistles (HD shock protection, fingerprint reader, webcam) are just gravy on top of this great laptop.

Along with describing your needs explain why you want to sell this 110 for another SZ. That may help people give you advice because it doesn’t make much sense to sell a base SZ110 for another SZ (unless you really want to premium models). To sell an SZ for another model/brand would make sense.

I really don't like the glossy screen on sz110 (it just really ignoring to me) and it come with xp home. I don't have xp pro cd to upgrade or do a clean install. One of the features i need in xp pro is the remote desktop because i frequently use it at work.

I used to own a dell laptop and recently I switched to sony only because of the sz laptop. I think it an awesome laptop. I only wish I know how to read japanese so I can order one from Japan instead of over here.

I like the SZ's glossy screen. its more of a "satin" than glossy. its between a glass glossy and matte texture. If you check dell's glossy version, you see that its extremely reflective.

I would just keep yours. In my view are the premium models just a waste of money. they have the same specs as the regular ones, except the wwan.

Uh, not really... the WWAN premium models aren't out in the US yet.

Premium = thinner, lighter, brighter/whiter screen, better battery life, different color scheme.

I agree, the premium is too expensive...I probably going to keep my sz110 since I'm low in bubget (can't afford to spend that much as a college student)...guess i just have to wait until summer when I start making big money and get a new one...just not sony...going to get samsung.
