Which laptop is better for gaming
A Sony VAIO F with-
-16.4-inch high-def display (1600 x 900-pixel resolution)
-1.6 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor (with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.80 GHz)
-500 GB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 RPM)
-4 GB of installed RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce 310M with 512 MB of dedicated video memory
or
A Sony VAIO FW with-
-16.4-inch XBRITE-ECO high-def display (1600 x 900-pixel resolution)
-2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 processor with Centrino 2 technology, 3 MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz front side bus (FSB)
-500 GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 RPM)
-4 GB of installed RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 with 512 MB of dedicated video memory
-
The ATI 4650 is alot better than the NVIDIA 310M.
-
Yes, 310M is so weak for gaming, why don't you get Vaio F with 330M? I think (Core i7 + 330M) is better than (P7450 + 4650)
-
But I dont think the VAIO with 330m is available on amazon ?
-
why does it have to be amazon, loads of places to get the f series
-
Yeah the 330M is roughly on par with the HD4650 so the better CPU in the F series will make the overall experience better.

H.A.L. 9000 Occam's Chainsaw
i7 + 310m = low FPS especially with that screen resolution.
i7 + 330m = potential for better performance than the 4650, for the simple fact that the i7 is a newer architecture, and will be capable of more "device to device" bandwidth.
P-series + 4650 = a really good combination, but it's last generation. -
Thanks for the replys
Is the 2.13 Ghz processor of FW good enough for games ? -
