hi
I wanna buy a thin and light from sony whic one is the good.
I wanna replace it with my desktop but i want portability aswell so battery life is important but so does the multimedia and everything.

portability and replace a desktop? then I think a 14" and 15.4" should be your options.
the FS series is pretty thin (and your only 15.4 option from them).. although its more of a mainstream than a thin and light.
other wise I suggest you wait for the 14" FJ and BX series, or even consider other options such as Asus -
I think the S series would be considered thin and light.

Some consider the S series to be thin and light, but I consider it closer in size to an ultraportable instead although in weight, it does tip the scales for ultraportables at 4.2 lbs loaded.

Sony's most high profile laptops are indeed the S-series.

The absolute thinnest and lightest is the one I own: The X505 Extreme notebook. It's less than a half an inch thin and weighs only 1.7 lbs! My unit can only be bought directly from Japan and is the first notebook in the world to be made of carbon fiber. It's so light you don't even know you're carrying a laptop. Sony doesn't sell this unit anymore but you can still find one on ebay if you're lucky. Someone at the SonyStyle store that another version of similar type will be coming out in 2006.

Don't mind paying a little for top build? The FJ series seems to be the best choice by far. Great 14.1" screen as I have been told, 5400RPM drive, integrated (ww?) webcam; it's really the best choice if you don't intend to play DX8-9 games with your laptop. I'd suggest you to wait if you can.
Which is the best sony thin and light ?
