I have had my sz780 for about 6months now and I absolutely love it, but for the past month my touchpad has been giving me a lot of problems, it will jump all over the screen and randomly select and close windows. At first it was once in a while but now it has gotten worse to the point where I had to purchase an external mouse but unfortunately it didn't help because it also selects and closes windows on its own. I want to have it repaired but I don't know who to contact sony or where I purchased the notebook from which is P1?? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

I would start with Ivan at P1 because he usually responds very quickly.

In the mean time you could disable your touchpad so that you can work comfortably with your mouse.

Go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager. Then try to find your touchpad in the list and select 'disable'. (this is actually XP, Vista should be something similar)

I tried that b4 on vista but for some reason the disable box was grayed out and I was unable to click it. I got in touch with Ivan at P1 and he suggested I contact sony which I did, I did a remote connection with them and for the past few hours I'm able to use my touchpad without it acting up, something I haven't been able to do in a couple of weeks (hope it stays that way) if it starts acting up again I'm going to have to take it in for repair.
