They look so out of place to me imo, kind of turns me off. But then I hear people say it has such a nice design. I think the speaker "bar" kills it![]()
Still love it though![]()

Small suggestion, post a picture or a link to a site with pictures.
If you want such a poll, make it easy to form an opinion.
As you obviously have an interest in this, and I haven't per se - I won't go to the trouble of looking for that site myself - I think quite a few people will feel the same. -
I fail to see the problem.

I don't mind them either. I like my FW, I don't find the reason why the speakers' looks should bother me...?
-
I find them simple and clean. I like their understated look.
This is what I'd call tacky lookin' speakers though it all comes down to personal taste... and we all know there's nothing more subjective than design. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think they look fine. Many "stylish" notebooks, like the Dell XPS M1330, have also adopted that "speaker bar" design. It's simple, clean and effective, and looks far better than the Toshiba posted above.
Frankly, I'm more put off by the overall size of the notebook itself than any of its design qualities. -
The size is fine as well for a 16.4 big-rig. It's not bigger or heavier than a 15.4 notebook and it's quite thin as well. I've mostly had 15.4inch laptops before and they weren't any slimmer. The 17inch Dell Studio17 was a lot bulkier and heavier than my current FW.

Thanks for the pics
Well done
I have to agree, I fail to see a problem in the design.
Simple and efficient. -
You're welcome.
Yes, the design is simple, yet effective. That doesn't mean there are no other successful ways of designing speakers.
Who here thinks the FW's speakers are ugly?
