    Why doesnt SZ have Windows XP Media Center?

    is it because it doesnt have s-video, small screen or what...FE does so I think SZ should aswell :mad: either way ill be downloading it someday.

    I think because it's not very likely that the SZ will be used as part of a home entertainment system. No advanced audio/video out, no tv tuner, none of the features that are generally found in entertainment systems are in the SZ.

    What does FE have that SZ doesnt have except the s-video? Isnt there an optional TV tuner that you can buy for both the notebooks from the SonyStyle website. I know SZ is more a business type notebook because of its size but the video card is the same as the FE's.

    There's really NO reason to want MCE unless you plan on using it is a television recording center or A/V playback center from remote. Otherwise it's just XP Pro.

    You hit hte key point, it's a business notebook. The video card doesn't have much impact on MCE anyway.

    When I played around with the media center on the FE, I loved it! I'm with you Aer0sense, I wish my sz was equipped to have it! Still lovin my sz tho!!!

    yeah man totally...media center would be cool, I mean they should have an option for those who want it. Well will have do with the XP pro when I get my SZ.
