Thats really odd, every other notebook maker has one...hmm I wonder how stylish it would be, compared to Apple Powerbooks?

Sony does make 17" Notebooks, but for some reason they recently pulled their latest model (AX) from their site.

The recent AX series (perhaps getting an update and will be available with Core Duo):

Before that model was the successful A Series (which had *the* best LCD in ANY notebook):

It seems like there is always an argument of Asus vs. Sony. Honestly, I've never seen an Asus model so I can't discriminate between models. I like Sony and what they put out. And I'm sure I would like Asus also. Nevertheless, this is not the topic of the thread. As stated before, there have been 17" models from Sony, but my guess is that they are currently upgrading their models to match current trends. We'll have to wait and see!!!

Yeah I want to see some new 17" models too, in the FE series type design / color. I have seen Asus notebooks and personally prefer Sony.

I would probably prefer ASUS if their notebooks were not 300-500 dollars more expensive... And if ASUS sold them, themselves it would be nice...

So for the moment i will stick with sony... I might even go with Dell again if theyre notebooks weren't so bulky and aesthetically boring.... And why do so many Dell notebooks not offer good graphics cards... just kinda stupid...
