Since I am thinking of getting the BZ for myself, I wonder how come nobody is talking about them here? Do we have a lack of business people here or are this models just not so popular?

I am actually thinking about BZ vs Z, because of the high res Z screen, but I will rather go for the BZ because I do feel working 12+ hours with Z high res screen might be too hard for my eyes...and I also do not need such a good battery life, since I would only use the laptop in my office and at home, not during some long flights or trips...

Afterall I think the LED LCD and other features really put the BZ in the top of the business 15.4 models, dont you think so?

It looks promising but also a bit plasticy. I'd have to see it in real life.

But I'd prefer something lighter and more portable personally.

If you're looking for 15" I also like the DV5t by HP, available with 1680*1050. Excellent reviews I believe. Or DV4t.

HP laptops are so damn ugly to me, cant stand the look of them. Same goes for IBM/Lenovo

The only models that looks fine are LG, but I dont trust them enough.

Do we have any high res photos of BZ serie?

Not sure I understand your point of view here...

Generally business oriented laptops - like the BZ - tend to put price/performance and usability/security as higher priorities than things like graphical performance and flashy design. So choosing a business machine on grounds of looks seems a bit weird?

uhm... remember one thing, with a screen with high res, you can go into Properties and lower its res --> more flexible than a screen that is locked at lower res. However, at 400 cheaper than the Z, it's debatable to some people. I had my eyes on both but only on the Z now because the first time my gf saw the BZ online, she said it looks like a Dell with new keyboard and cool lighting from Sony.

EDIT: ~~~ oops i was thinking of the SR lol

I think it is not only 400 cheaper...I am talking about the Z version that have high res screen, that suppose to cost ~1900 + TAX in europe. Since BZ costs around 1000 + VAT..

About the comment on my POV about the design. I know looks does not matter when it comes to business laptops, but if I can have looks and business features in sony, why not take it...

it doesn't look bad at all. Looks pretty pro. It looks like a large Z or SR without the metallic look or separated keys.

I would get it if I wanted a 15 inch notebook for sure. However, I already owned a 15 inch and wanted to try something different with the SR :)
