Is there any chance that Sony will include X9100 Core 2 Extreme 3.06 GHz in their next release of 15" notebook? The fastest non Extreme CPU in the coming months is 2.8GHz, not much difference than 2.6GHz that they have now. So, if Sony is not going to offer Core 2 Extreme in their next line of notebook, it would make sense to just buy it now. Otherwise, I am willing to wait a couple of months to get extra 400 MHz plus increase 1GHz FSB.

I think its very safe to say that they won't.

They unfortunately just won't put higher end options on their notebooks, like higher resolution screen in the FZ or Geforce 8600 (Well, Europe has it, not North America or even Japan!).

They don't cater to the enthusiast market and their main market is not in personal computers.

I would be very very surprised if they offered a C2D Extreme option.
