    Hi

I was looking into getting a VAIO i7 Z series laptop without the blueray drive just the DVD as its £550 more!

Will a panasonic UJ-220 out of a Sony vaio FZ31S fit in the Z?

I imagine that the front face would have to be swoped over and the rail or is the Vaio Z series a sony blueray custom jobby?

    Thanks

No it does't. UJ-220 is a slim BD drive, you need a super slim one.
