if i install the windows 7 beta, will it remove the recovery partition?
-
no--------
-
Only if you delete the recovery partition. If you install Windows 7, only removing the main partition, it won't effect the recovery partition.
-
thanks, thats ok
-
But F10 to launch Recovery mode may not work either.
Make sure you create recovery discs first. -
why wont F10 luach recovery?
and how would i do it? -
By default, Recovery utility writes a code in track 0 to activate recovery mode when F10 is hit at startup. If Windows 7 or other OS modifies track 0 with their own information, F10 will not work.
I know there some people have this problem. Recovery partition is still there, but recovery mode won't launch when F10 is hit. -
I created another partition to install my Windows 7; I have Windows Vista in one, my recovery partion in another, and Windows 7 in my third =)
-
That's a bit too crowded IMO.
-
Still doable.
Will installing windows 7 remove the recovery partition?
