Am considering the SZ650 and Looking over Sony's driver site they don't even list drivers for XP and this model, only Vista (which will not run my CAD apps.)

Am I out in the cold on this (it will kill the possibility of getting this machine.)

it is not necessary to install XP, you can install and emulator and run win XP like a normal program, keeping Vista as your main O.S

I recommend you virtual pc 2007
    hope this can help you

umm, SW is so bad about blaming everything else but themselves for reported bugs I'd be very hesitant to run an SW thru an emulator. Bound to get a zillion crashes.

Well, my SZ650NC is on the way, due Tues.

Can we please start gathering info for what'll be needed to
    A. Install XP Pro
    B. Ensure I can reinstall a clean copy of Vista (do the SZs some with Vista install disks or do I need to order them?)

Planning to dual boot. May include a small partition for Linux.

Has anyone tried installing XP and Vista on the same partition? Does it absolutely have to be two different ones?
