Will the next VAIO come with GeForce 9? How big is the performance gap between GeForce 8 and 9? I mean performance gap from similar GPU number, like 8400M GT with 9400M GT or 8600M GT with 9600M GT.

The new 9 series are mainly die shrinks of the 8 series, from 80nm to 65nm. They will perform a bit better, and give you extra battery life. Here is what I thinkSony's will get:

TZ, NR and CR: Intel GMA 4500
    13.3": 9300 or 9400
    FZ: 9500
    AR: 9650

Good question. Makes me double-think my just-ordered FZ. However I think that the current FZ's are finally priced right, even if the configurations are on the way out. Furthermore the new ones, if they do have Centrino 2 and GeForce 9 series graphics, will once again be priced higher than most other notebooks with comparable hardware.

I hope they don't update the looks of the FZ to be even more sexy. Though I could definitely see an upgrade in Keyboard ergonomics. All the other manufacturers have cushy soft-touch keyboards.
