I followed some of the threads on adding more RAM into SZs and found this on the Dell site - but a little worried - it calls it SDRAM and doesn't specify pins etc.
Anyone know if this will work in my SZ4XWN?

I'm not sure whether or not it will but, it will be cheaper if you just get 2 1GB sticks. SZ ram limit is 2GB, so there's really no point in spending more on one sitck.

Yes, but if your goal is 3GB (2GB + 1GB) of memory, you can get it cheaper than the equivalent of about $700US. Check eBay.
If your goal is 2GB in total, go with 2 matched sticks. Better performance. -
thanks - I am after 3Gb - the SZ4 has 2x1Gb OOTB - i will look around for a better price!!

3GB is the max

For those looking for a 667 2 Gb SODIMM, there are cheaper sources than Dell. -

You can get a 2GB stick of memory for $125, and a 2x2GB kit for $255..... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=1954103&postcount=1

2 very different types of memory are in question here.
wuruoyu: you are talking about Sony's Memory Sticks, which are flash memory storage cards. The thread as a whole is talking about system memory.
And as far as I know, the max for most laptops is 4GB. I do not think that the SZ will be any different. -
Are you absolutely sure the SZ is capable of using more then 2GB of RAM? Sony states this is the maximum.
