I shall shortly be receiving a new FW laptop, and am keen to use Windows 7 (as I was doing on a Dell until it was stolen). As far as I can tell, there are some options:

    - Simply upgrade the factory installl with Windows 7
    - Wipe Vista and clean install Windows 7
    - Dual boot (essentially a clean Win 7 install)

What is the advantage of the clean installation? I have read here about "bloatware", but in the past I have simply uninstalled programs I don't need rather than do a clean installation. Indeed, most laptops I have had come with a full recovery image preventing you doing a proper clean install anyway. I have read about a lot of issues with the clean installs (some buttons not working and the like) - does this happen with an upgrade?

Thanks for your help everyone... am looking forward to FW ownership!
