    Windows 7 Free Upgrade From Sony, I Have Questions.

    A few days ago I bought the FW460J/T with $50 mail in rebate, and I also get a free upgrade to Windows 7 from Sony. I have a few questions regarding the Windows 7 upgrade:
    1. Do I have to mail in the UPC bar code? If yes, it might be impossible because I have to send the UPC bar code along with the $50 mail in rebate.
    2. Should I buy the full version of Windows 7 for a fresh clean install even though I get a free copy of the upgrade version of Windows 7?

    1.) I personally sent in a photocopy of the UPC by snail mail. I literally scanned the box and made a printout.

    2.) Where are you buying a copy of windows 7 for cheap without a license key attached to it? I have a feeling that the upgrade discs will be full retail versions that you can do clean installs with. Just because if you're operating system is 32bit, and you wanted to upgrade it to 64bit win 7, you're required to do a clean install.
