    Hi all!
first post as a new member, ive just bort a sony vaio VGNFW45V configurable laptop from sonystyle UK with the following spec

    Core 2 Duo Proc -2.8Ghz
    4GB DDR2 ram
    320GB hard drive
    Blu ray combo drive
    ATI radeon 4650 512mb graphics
    Vista home premium 64bt

my question is that, will i get the windows 7 upgrade (home premuim 64bt) for free? i rang sony b4 ordering and they guy was a tool but he asked his 'supervisor' and they confirmed that i should get it, but when i go to the sony vaio upgrade page ( http://club.vaio.sony.eu/clubvaio/GB/en/windows7/upgrade.htm) my model isnt there, and on the website it doesnt say 'Free upgrade to windows 7' as it does on most other laptops.

Your help would be much appreciated as i am keen to get rid of vista.
    thanks

You got a FW4, right... the model is there. If you have a model version that is not specified any further you select the FW4. You have to enter your serial number anyway, which tells Sony exactly which model you have.

Since you just bought it, you are eligible for the upgrade...
