Hello,
who tried?
I tried , the system works fine but I've some issue :
Vaio Smart Network is not working
Vaio specific keys (like volume ...) is not working
my windows experience index is 2.0 (hard drive...) it's 3.2 under vista

My experience.
Loaded Win7. Installed the drivers/software from Sony's eSupport pages.
I have to kill the ISB process or I get a battery warning, but apart from that it runs great.
However...
- While volume buttons work on the front, the S1 and eject buttons do not.
- The light sensor does not work
- The fingerprint sensor shows up in Win7 but I can't get it to work
- The quick charge does not seem to work
- Can't change the battery save functions (charge only to 80% for instance)
- Silent mode does not work as far as I can see
Apart from this everything works. Wireless, memory card reader, noise cancelling headphones etc.
I keep Win7 because of speed and it just seems nicer than Vista... notice that the Windows evaluation of your hardware (the score) has changed in Win7 as far as I know... mine is higher, but I have the SSDs so maybe that is why.
Still looking for the drivers - and 64 bit drivers - that would make it all work. Someone seems to have it working using Japanense ones...?

Waiting for my TT and installing windows 7 on it is the 2nd thing i wanna do (after singing hallelujah). Have any of you guys successfully got the TT to function fully?
-
I think only the Battery protection is not working on mine
I'm not sure for the HDD protection ... -
just one comment ... to have all the specific button ... you must disable UAC
-
Thanks a lot. im getting my win7 iso ready, then all the drivers for the tt... life is good!

Hi folks,
I guess I have similar issues re drivers on win7 Home Premium 64bit. I recently did a clean install of the W7x64 (full retail) on my tt11wn/b (Core 2 Duo 1.2ghz, 4gb ram). Everything seems to be working fine, except for some driver problems:
- Light sensor doesn't work, even though it has been enabled in the vaio control center.
- Base System Device issue in the 'Device Manager', unrecognised device perhaps a card reader, but under 'SD host adapters' there is SDA standard compliant SD host controller recognised.
- Lastly, modem issues, recognised incorrectly - Globetrotter HSUPA Modem.
Have been surfing internet past few days for solutions, but didn't find any, also checked Sony Europen Support Portal for 64 bit drivers, which provides some but apparently not for the above. For me, the most important thing is get the light sensor working properly, otherwise I don't use the later 2 much anyway, but fixing them is good too.
Any solutions? your help is much appreciated.
thank you -
Hi,
I have made several attempts to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my TT11WN/B. More or less all ending up with the three problems listed above.
After trying different install sequences found on the internet and different driver versions I ended up with the following installation sequence using the latest drivers that I found:
1. Sony Shared Library - 5.4.0.05200
2. Setting Utility Series - 5.0.0.07300
3. VAIO Control Center - 3.3.0.12240
4. VAIO Event Service - 5.0.0.07010
5. Firmware Extension Parser - 8.0.0.1
6. Programmable IO Controller - 8.0.0.1
7. Audio Driver - 6.0.1.5859
8. Bluetooth Driver - 6.2.0.9600.0908210
9. Chipset Driver - 8.7.0.1007
10. Memory Stick - 6.3.0.61
11. Memory Card - 6.3.2.28
12. Video - 8.15.10.1872
13. WLAN - 12.4.1.11
14. Pointing Device - 7.202.505.108
15. VAIO Power Management - 4.0.0.08240
16. VAIO Smart Network - 3.0.0.09080
17. Fingerprint - Protector Suite - 5.9.2.5739
18. Globetrotter Connect – 3 (Latest from Option webpage)
After this installation there are no remaining issues in the device manager, the HSUPA Modem is correctly identified and the drivers are installed as a part of the Globetrotter Connect software and the light sensor works. -
I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit on a TT27 and have all function keys working plus the S1/Volume/Eject buttons working successfully as well as the ambient light sensor.
The driver set I used was for the European TT4's (64bit), available via the Sony European Support site:
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computin...n_GB&m=VGN-TT4
There are 32bit (and some suitable also for 64bit) drivers here:
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computin...TT3WRN_X&os=10
Hope that helps. -
I am using my TT in Windows 7 and all work flawlessly. But I did not do a clean install, I used the companion disc to set it up.
Yes there is bloatware and yes it is not a clean install but I am quite happy with it.
