and i cannot get the protector suite to work, it installs but states i need to plug in fingerprint reader into usb port.

Which drivers did you use to get the display working and what BIOS did you install?

Used the Euro driver for nvidia, its in a post on the forums, if you cant find it i could email it to you. as for the bios i used update straight from the sony site for windows vista business.

if only i could get the fingerprint reder working

this may be stupid but did you install the drivers for them?

i have a Z590 and all the vista drivers from the sony US FTP site worked for me and everything works 100% (after installing the W7 nvidia drivers from the euro site).

"Everything" and "100%"? Including WWAN, HDMI protected content and nVidia display scaling?

i don't use WWAN so i have no idea if it's functioning but my drivers say it is. HDMI protected content, i don't know what's protected but video and audio out work along with auto-detecting once i plug int he cable. display scaling for HDMI out also works properly.

Really? That's new then, cause Sprint EV-DO doesn't show up in the device manager in Vista -- you can only access it through SmartWi, which allegedly you can't anymore if installing W7.
    What do the drivers say?

    Hi Zcar,

    Was your install 64 bit?

Also, do you a link to the drivers?

I may misunderstand your point but I have Z540 and I can see the Sprint EV-DO modules (under Ports > Novatel...) in the device manager in Vista Home Premium (as long as I turn it on through SmartWi; when I turn it off, it disappears in the device manager)

Same now with Win7 Pro, the only difference is that I cannot see GPS through SmartWi but it still appears in the device manager when I turn on Sprint.
