Just a heads up to those with this laptop, Windows & works nicely. Upgraded the daughter's laptop, (despite what the Sony site says).
Update the BIOS, use the Vista Drivers supplied on the site and the Intel GMA driver. Order of driver install was easy (same as Sony recommends for Vista).
Only minor issue had was getting the DVD drive to be recognized, the firmware update and registry patch did not help. Finally got it working with a registry adjustment.
Works nicely. so if debating on the upgrade, go ahead it's worth it.
Boots quick, runs Aero nicely, system responds well. Well worth the time/effort. Windows 7 is a very nice OS, MS has done well with this one.
