HI,
I was wondering if it is a good idea to install windows 7 rc on my new vaio fw. I read some threads about it, but they are outdated and they required a lot of annoying installations and stuff. I don't mind installing a couple of drivers, as long as everything is functional after that. (which i heard it is not)
I no the real release is only days away, but I am not sure when I am going to receive the upgrade, probably not in the next month.
Thanks.

sorry for the double post..but anybody have any info?
thanks in advance. -
if you signed up for the Windows 7 free upgrade they should hopefully send it out when it comes out, if not i think max a week or two. just around a month left or so i think it would be better to just sit tight. but if you want to installed Windows 7 go right ahead, to get things working properly, you have to install your drivers in the right order, there are a couple people who have mentioned the full list in order, most problems people encountered where the FN keys not working properly, so they wernt able to adjust the vol +/- and Brightness +/-.
i dont remember exactly the order, you might be able to search through afew threads and find it, its nearly the same on all sony laptops
Win 7 is fairly new so i dontthink posts can be THAT outdated, if someone got their win 7 installed properly i recommend following what that person did, wether it was beta RC or RTM or wether it was 2weeks, 4 weeks, few months agohope this helps abit,
