MSE scheduled scan does not start up automatically after scheduled time has passed.

For what its worth, take note that MSE is incompatible with Windows 8 and is replaced there by Windows Defender. We need to take Microsoft's lead and dump MSE ASAP!

OK, what have I missed? Microsoft Security Essentials is not compatible with Microsoft Windows 8? The fact is that's expected with Microsoft.

We are in this predicament because Microsoft. Xbox owners were in a similar predicament when Microsoft's mandatory update bricked the 360 console.

Its blatantly evident Microsoft wants to cripple previous versions of windows. Now you either get on Microsoft's Heaven’s Gate Windows 8 UFO or you don't, that's what it all boils down to.

If Microsoft's Windows 8 Cult ideas were to be believed, previous versions of Windows were due to be wiped clean and the only path to salvation was to escape to “Windows 8”

    Enjoy Microsoft's Kool-Aid

Wait, what? You aren't making much sense, if at all.

Do you even have Windows 8? what anytimer said is that in Windows 8 MSE doesn't exist, you can't even install it if you want, Windows Defender is an upgraded version of the current MSE.

I don't recall ever having any trouble with MSE in Windows 7, but if the update is borked for you you can try uninstalling the MSE updates and re-installing them, or uninstalling MSE altogether and re-install \ re-update it.
