Hello, I have my taskbar color to "graphite" and to the highest color intensity (to make it more black) YET, it's not as black as compared to the color it turns when I have a window maximized...

    basically...

when i have no window maximized, the taskbar is black/greyish

when i have a window maximized the taskbar suddenly turns to a darker shade of black.. this is most noticeable if you have a light colored desktop background..

p.s. i have tried disabling and enabling transparency and the same thing happens! urgh.

try enabling transparency again. disabling transparency will do this.

    Sorry, late to this thread.

What I have found with the Vista Taskbar (with Aero enabled) is it has issues when you have iTunes installed AND have iTunes checked in the Taskbar's Toolbar section. When I have iTunes checked the Taskbar's color is stuck as graphite and it has the transparency/contrast issues. I just leave iTunes unchecked and have no issues.
