Hey Guys! I need to announce that I am now a proud owner of a Vaio SR26GN (Singapore model) it's the one with ATI HD3470 256mb and P8600.

Got a Windows XP downgrade CD with it. I don't suppose the downgrade CD will allow me to install a clean Windows on a separate partition? Is it programmed to strictly downgrade a Vista installation?

    Here's what I've got planned:

    1) Create a backup of my Vista installation via Recovery wizard (is that the name of the utility that comes with Vaio?)

    2) Split hard disk into 2 partitions

    3) Restore Vista installation on one partition. **Will the recovery disks allow me to do that or will it delete all partitions and restore to the original state?

    4) Install XP on the second partition and I can happily switch via Vista's boot loader. **So as asked earlier will the downgrade disk allow me to do this?

    Thanks in advance guys!
