Has anyone done this? I read that you can choose who who buy it from but when I tried I did not have a choice. I read that Staples is selling it for $119. It seems like I have to pay $139 for it. Has anyone paid less for business to ultimate upgrade?

This takes you to buy it from Arvato for $139 with no other choices. Has miccrosoft taken away the choice of buying from another retailer?

I really feel that on a $2500 notebook Sony should at least offer it as a low-cost option on purchase or a low-cost option (if Microsoft allows this) after-purchase. To have to pay about $150 (after tax) to upgrade to Ultimate seems like gouging to me.

Frankly, this is an essential upgrade to anyone who uses this for business or keeps any personal information on the machine, as Ultimate is necessary to use BitLocker hard drive encryption.

In addition to cost, it will take some time to do the upgrade and then repartition the drive to get BitLocker to work, although the Microsoft Ultimate Extras tool should make it a relatively simple process.
