Get the one from Windows Update. You can also download driver version 185.85 from Microsoft Update catalog.

    Hey,

    I have a follow-up question for you, " Nealloy1981 ".

I have a Sony Vaio AR51SU Laptop computer, it's also around 3 years of age. I Have installed windows 7 64 bit operating system. I got all hardware to work, and installed all the latest drivers; except for my ' Nvidia GeForce M 8600 GT '.

I installed the old original driver from sony way back, and I am till this day, unable to install newer versions like you said before.

So, I have exactly the same problem you did, just with a different sony vaio laptop. You said you were able to sort it out, without putting down the way you did it.

Hence my obvious question, HOW and WHAT did you do to succeed eventually.

Thx in advance for your help.
