Hi all, I have installed Windows 7 on my TT and manually installed those programs which comes with my TT originally.

Everything looks fine now...expect the light sensor of course. Now I tried to play a blu-ray movie, the Intervideo WinDVD BD for Vaio gave me an error message "The AACS key has expired..." Does it mean that I have to pay for continuing to use the program? Is there any way to work around?

    THanks!

So does it mean that I don't need to update the AACS key when use vista and the bundled WinDVD, and I do need to update it when i switch to Win7?

Also, I have clicked the "update" button and after a while I can see the program playing the BD...but the problem is only the sound...weird

    Thanks for the tip!
I have followed what the kb said. But when the pop-up window showed up and the words "Key downloading" appeared, it just stopped at there...nothing happened...
any idea why is that? maybe the IE8's problem? =(

Sony's level 2 support is aware of the inability for AACS files to update from Corel's website issue and they admit it is a problem with WinDVD 8 and said I could pay for WinDVD 9 because that might fix the problem. It costs $70 to upgrade. I have been on the phone with them every other week for 2 months and there does not appear that there will be a solution provided by Sony because nothing has changed. If they wanted to fix the problem they could find a way to provide users with an upgrade to WinDVD9. I bought my VGN-AR825e because I could play Blu-Ray disks with Dolby 5.1 surround. It was supposed to work. Why do I need to pay to fix it? I am waiting for a phone call from Sony support in San Diego. Possibly they will find a way to deal with this.

I had the same problem. Just found something that worked for me on a different forum. Note that I had already tried this unsuccesfully using a admin user account, but it didn't work. I had to use the following procedure for my VGN-FW390.

Run WinDVD BD as an Administrator - go to All Progtams and right-click on WinDVD BD for Vaio and choose 'Run as Administrator'. When it has opened then inset the disc. When the prompt warns the AACS keys need renewing, click on Yes, sign into the Corel site and it should download OK.

I have Intervideo windvd and windows 7 on a Vaio FW378D and when I run it windows says: the following program has performed an an action that imposes to windows 7 to replace temporarily the colours set with windows 7 basic.

any ideas? I fill fed up of calling sony's hell-desk.
they never resolved any issues of mine
