    Hi All,

Can anyone help me. I'd like to reset my Vaio and wipe it clean for my son to use but I've forgotten the admin password and also Im thinking of upgrading the operating system as well - currently on Windows 7 - any help on how I do this would be most appreciated - I don't have any disks as I bought it second hand myself a few years back.

    Thanks in anticipation

    What model Vaio is this?

If its a bios password, then no one can help you, it's against forum rules.

If its just a account password, there are plenty of ways to circumvent it. Just google. I typically like the "sticky keys" method.

Unless its a newer laptop, you might have a hard time getting windows 8 drivers. Stick with win7.
