On my system the wireless lan light stays on during Vista sleep. It was suggested that changing the setting under advanced power settings, multimedia to allow sleep would fix this problem, but this had no effect on my system. Does anyone have another answer?

It may be normal, I'm not sure, but any issues with Vista hibernation/sleep can usually be resolved by a BIOS update from your laptop manufacturer.

You should check with Sony to see if they have a BIOS update available.

Also check on Windows Update to see if there is an updated driver for your wireless card.

Try changing the power saving mode for your wireless card to "Medium" if it's on some other setting.

It turns off now. I'm not sure what fixed it, but I installed the Vaio Power Utility and the update NC driver. A few reboots later It was fixed. Beats me.

Mine still stays on, already have the latest drivers for everything... no idea how to fix it. But glad I don't use Standbye much anyway.
