I have been having a lot of ping spikes and lags with this computer and the wireless range is terrible. My 5 years old HP laptop have better wireless range and doesn't have the random spikes. Does anyone know any solution? I have the basic intel 1000 wireless adapter. Also which other wireless adapter from intel is compatible with this laptop? Can it support the 6230 and 6300 cards?

The 6300 requires 3 separate wireless antennas as far as I understand. The Intel 1000 is notoriously bad. The 6230 should be compatible and run much better.

Have you tried disabling the power saving on the wifi? Also change the TX power level to the highest.

Yea I already disabled power saving and changed all the settings to high. Do you guys know where I can get the 6200 in Canada?
