Can someone that has the Wireless Switch Setting Utility (little systray icon) working correctly, do me a little favor? Locate the registry key: WirelessSwitch and export and post it or email it to me?

    Thanks,
    Jason

If you did a clean install, it won't work. Atleast I haven't figured out how to make it work.

Instead I use the Fn+F1 toggle capability of SmartWi to toggle between Wifi -> BT -> Wifi+BT

I have the same problem and sony are no help at all. They wont even supply older versions of the software for me to try (dosent seem like a big challenge for such a large company). I have an S5XP and the utility used to work fine now it suddenly wont. Any one have any ideas or workarounds. What is smartWi and how can i use this if possible, any help would be great. Thanx

Install the sony supplied hotfixes from your recovery cd and everything works fine.

If you are unlucky they are buried deep within the .pac file and you have to recover to get them out.

The answer lies in the 2 extra service/protocols that are installed on the Sony restore, can't remember what they are called something like Aegis... Anyway there should be 6 in total under the WLAB properties. Then the WLAN switch will work as it can detect the state of the card.
