    Hi, Everybody!

I am a new member to this site. So it is great being part of this community.
Well i actually own a Sony vaio VGN-N365E and looking to upgrade my wireless card from G to N. I found an intel 4965N card but i don't know if it is compatible with my computer also i have a WRT150 Lynksys router.
    so my question is:

What card do you suggest me to buy to upgrade my computer? i heard that you should buy the same brand as your router but i have been researching and linksys doesn't make an internal wireless card. Correct me if i am wrong.

If there is any manual that shows how to do this upgrade yourself would be great if you guide to it.

Thank you very much for any help.

    Regards

    Javier

What is your current wireless card? Is is also Intel, or some other brand? (Check in Device Manager).

I believe the 'n' standard is still draft so there is some risk of incompatibility between wireless cards and routers. However, in the longer term I would expect that Intel's market share would ensure that the final standard is compatible with the Intel implementation on 'n'.

The wireless card uses a mini-PCI slot. If you are lucky, the wireless card will ve in somewhere accessible, such as under the memory cover. It may also be under the keyboard. You are looking for for a module that is about 50mm x 30mm with up to 3 wires connected to it (see the attached photo - the label covers the module except for the connectors).

well this is what i found looking in my device manager.
LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g PCI-E Adapter, Manufacturer Atheros Communications. I guess the best way to do this is find an Atheros wireless card N.
    What do you think?
