I have FZ240EB and keep a Logitech Nano mouse connected to it all the time. I have the power settings configured to sleep when the lid is closed. It does go into sleep mode when I close the lid, but if I move the mouse around, it wakes up and he display comes on (with the lid still closed).

    Is this normal behavior?

Thanks for any help - JR

I think this is normal, isn't that what sleep is? If there's activity it will wake up. Same happens to me with a SZ, and Nano mouse.

One simple solution : Don't move the mouse.

Doesn't make sense to me, because if the lid is closed it should NEVER wake and certainly not turn the display on. Oh well. The problem is that when I carry the computer around in its case, I throw the Nano in and it tends to move around.

I generally don't bother turning off the mouse, but I guess I'll have to try to remember.

Why do you want to drain the battery of both the mouse and the notebook by doing this?

    Hi,

Well there is an option to disable mouse to wake up ur laptop.

what is need to be done is just go into control panel > device manger > mice and other pointing devices > HID-compliant mouse > power management

and "uncheck" allow this device to wake the computer
