I wrote this thread to confirm that a third party driver for AMD+Intel works for PMD in Windows 8.
This is not what I found, I just follow some steps from other thread here, I forgot where it is.

You need Leshcat driver pack dated Jul 12. Run it to extract driver to a location.
Then go to device management to update to extracted drivers.

My SVZ is now working on both stock lcd and external display. Brightness works fine.

I just uninstall AMD 6650M driver and clean all files.
I downloaded and installed new package from Leshcat dated Nov 2 2012 12.10
    http://leshcatlabs.net/index.php/2012/11/catalyst-12-10-whql-unifl-for-amdintel-graphics/
It worked perfect. Undocking button worked. I disconnect and reconnect dock and it also worked perfect.
To use Intel, dock has to be disconnected. If dock connected, AMD will be used. Correct me if I am wrong.

Because of PMD driver issue for Windows 8, I am wondering if Sony is temporary taking it out to work on this issue for a new fresh model.

Hm, so i think it is possible to use the Z series with same PMD features as on running windows 7? Maybe it´s time for an upgrade :D

I can confirm it working but for me lashcat driver installing available only in test mode. As a result - a watermark on right desktop corner (((( How you installed the driver ( from .exe file ore device manager)?

Leshcat installer has an option for you to turn off watermark.
However, I found out version 12.10 dated Nov 2 worked without need of turn on TESTSIGNING.
I turn it off on my and and driver still worked.

Meaning of "TEST MODE" is to turn off checking of Digital Signing for driver. Third-party drivers may not have digital signing, so Windows 8 won't let it run.
Basically, Windows works the same under test mode or not except it will accept digital unsigned drivers to work.

    One question to you guys.
I have my external monitor connected to the PMD via HDMI.
Now when the notebook screen is turned off (only the external monitor is active) and I restart windows, still only the external monitor screen will be used but the backlight of the notebook screen turns on.
To disable that I have to press win+p, change to "PC screen only", press win+p again and choose "second screen only".
Now the backlight is turned off again - until the next windows reboot.

Unfortunately this even affects standby and hibernate - do you guys have this issue as well? I'm using the beta6 from Nov 2012 leshcat driver.
