Nice pics man, +1 rep!
Great lappy but I am a little dissapointed about the battery life. If Sony claims 4 hrs with the standard battery, it means in real life 2.5 hrs...and with the 9-cell one you will have a maximum of 5 hrs when Sony says 8 hrs. Quite a little for a device like this (especially seeing the pics when the battery is huge). -
Can't wait til these are around! Looks really great.
-
Sony says 6 hours with TT and people are getting 6 hours.
Problem is with consumer laptops, where people play games, watch movies or listen to music and they think it will be the same battery life. -
Well, I saw it in dynamism saying that the 4-hour runtime (2.5 hours under normal use).

I think there is 6 cell and the extended is 9 cell. No 3-cell option. Notice this because Sony says standard and extended battery. -
Is Sexy the new Sony! But, I have to agree with armadilo, if the battery life is 2.5 hours with the battery that comes with the P...no deal!
Anyway we will have to wait a review to understand more. Surpised with the OS, would be more logic to run XP. -
Nice pic ...I love it!!!!

I'm guessing they haven't realised to kick in the power modes - I have found that in most cases - certainly in the last three or so years - judicious use of power management allows me to get pretty close to what Sony claims.
A friend who bought a UX along with me kept complaining about battery life. I had to show him how to click on the battery and change the power mode (this is, I guess pretty typical for most incapable users who are better off with Apple and the like).
Still, a 1.33Ghz Atom running Vista? That's gotta be painful. -
whats the weight of this thing.
small laptop enough to carry around in ladies purse -
Small enough to fit in your jacket pocket! -
That looks awesome, I definitely want one of these

Sony Vaio P Series Direct from Japan model [VGN-P90/128ss/Black]
(1.86GHz, 2GB RAM, 128GB solid state HD, English Windows Home Premium, Onyx Black)
All the news said it's only a 1.3GHz CPU, which is really low. But it seems the models in Japan also have the 1.86GHz CPU. Anyway, dynamism sells this one at almost $2000, which is crazy high for a pocket device with no real/long time use. For a longer use people need to use a bigger screen, maybe an external display will work just fine with this thing -

Apperantly this thing scores a 2.7 on the WEI, which is better than an asus 1000h!
One of my friend has the 1000h and comfortably runs WoW and warcraft 3 (even though he mainly uses it to type notes, which will be my primary use as well).
Definitely considering this one, but my only current cause for skepticism is the battery life. I'll wait til it officially launches and gets reviewed, and to see how thick the larger battery really is. -

Verrryyy interesting.
All I need now is battery life.
I need to be hitting at least 6 hours with the extended battery (without it being unbearably thick), and I'll definitely be getting this as my secondary laptop. -

I must admit, I want one too. Dunno why. I have the TZ150n and it annoys me to no end on the startup. I can't see that thing starting any faster unless I ordered it with the SSD.

I don't need one... but , I *WANT* one. The 1.83Ghz models are too rich for my blood, starting at $1,549 and going up from there, but for me the "nice price" is the 1.33Ghz model with 64GB SSD at $1,199. So much of a notebook's overall usability is tied to hard drive performance (in my opinion) that this might work nicely.

woot! -
I want one too. And I have a Z. Sigh. Knowing about Vaios is turning out to be expensive.
