    Hi.
    I just bought a new Sony VAIO VGN-FE31h and it's full of programs I don't need. And I don't like that! :p

So now I'm going to install XP PRO SP2 on it from my own XP cd and my question now is: Can I just do like I normally do on my computer and install XP and then download or install the necessary drivers from a CD? Or is't anything special I must think and do before because it's a laptop? (my first laptop ever)

    Thanks in advance,
    uid.

There is a recovery partition somewhere in the laptop (usually in the beginning or the ending).Make sure you won't damage it.

Yes I will leave that partition unchanged and untouched. And besides that it's just format and install like normal?

    I suppose so.
(There are some auto-bloatware killers available, you might want to try them first)
