Tests on my SZ330 running XP show that at idle power consumption is significantly less while running as a user with administrative privileges than while running in a limited user account. Both accounts have the same power settings, although the Vaio power management settings page says that settings from the administrator account are being used.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to give up the security of a LUA just to get power management to work fully.

Has anyone even noticed this problem? They should have because the same power management program is used on many Vaio notebook computers. Perhaps nobody around here runs LUA.
