    XP mode in windows 7 on VGN-SR45G/B/N and VGN-CS36GJ

    No, XP mode is only available with Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate. If you order one of those versions, you can install it but you need to activate the VT

    i knew that, i have windows 7 ultimate, i asked the question for the hardware of the laptops.

    You need to go into bios and see if virtualization is enabled or can be enabled.

    They most likely do not come with VT enabled but there is a BIOS update dated in October for both models that will allow VT to be unlocked. Then you would just have to turn it on in the BIOS.
