    Hey guys, I'm considering buying the sony vaio FE. However i do have one question. I know that it comes with media center, here at my house i own a win xp pro cd with key would i easily install that or is media player just as nice.

    Unless you really need the additional networking features of Pro, I think MCE is just fine. I have MCE on my Fujitsu and Pro on my SZ and I really don't see a whole lot of difference between the two (with the exception of the media center extensions, of course) for day to day use.

    true..although I just bought the FE590 with xp pro..I would have loved it to have MCE as I would use its features more..but the only model I wanted had to have xp pro..oh well..
