    How come? i downgraded to XP but I noticed in the system properties i get only 2.99 GB of RAM!

    where did the 0.1 GB go?

    First of all it's not 0.1 GB it's onlu 0.01 GB wich is ONLY 10MB...
    Just forget about that small detail, there is nothing special about that...

    LOL...

    I think it's just a difference in the way the OSes report it. I think the RAM is probably eaten up by devices or BIOS or something like that. I'm a little fuzzy on the details here, but sometimes my machine tells me I have a few mb less than I really do, depending on where I look.
