depends on your tolerance for insanity

it's not really that hard, the hardest part is just finding the drivers

I believe the supplied downgrade disk would include all drivers.
Doing it yourself is messy. (Search the forums for guides on "how to")

    Question is though:
Why do you want to downgrade?
And mainly. Do you need to downgrade?

I don't recommend downgrading, Vista has became very stable after SP1, and is much better and easier to use than XP. I started using Vista since it came out and I never had a problem with it. I would never go back to XP.

I disagree that Vista is easier than XP, but it's a personal choice thing. On my Z, XP is the only usable choice because I often use hibernation and I couldn't cope with the hellishly long hibernation times when I first got my Z (with Vista). Since upgrading to XP, I'm liking my Z much better! :)

That said, I didn't have to bother with any long winded manual downgrade process because I just used the disc supplied by Sony in conjunction with the clear instructions and drivers/utils provided on www.vaio-link,com. One reason to get Vista Business over Vista Home Premium is that only Vista Business includes an automatic right to downgrade to XP. If you get Home Premium, you'll need to downgrade using your own XP disc (and license).

I like Vista Business in my TT (and TZ before), I just uninstalled the software that I do not need, and adjusted the startup. Runs very smooth and fast. I like the fact that it will so automatic defrag.
