I own 15.4 VAIO with Xbrite and I know it is more vivid than Xbrite ECO. My questions:

What is the different between these 2 and why SONY build notebook with 2 different tech (ECO and non-ECO), while both of them are glossy? Does ECO contain cheaper component?

I want to buy new notebook (HP/Dell) since SONY hasn't released new model until now, I am also looking WXGA+. Anyone here can advise which HP/Dell notebook has Xbrite (non-ECO)? I went to bestbuy checking Dell/HP, all of them have Xbrite-ECO screen.

i thought ECO just meant it was less power hungry than standard, but more hungry than LED.
