My Vaio E's HDD died and Sony sent me new one along with Windows 7 CDs. I successfully restored my E.

Now when I launch Yahoo in IE8, it automatically types "trendy words" in the search box. I ran Norton, Spybot, Malwarebytes and Spyware Blaster and no malware was detected.

I have 5 other PCs and none of them show this weird thing. What's happening? Does Sony include a stealth program in the recovery CDs or what?

    Few questions:

    1. Why are you using IE8?

    2. Why are you using Yahoo to search?

    3. Did you (or something else) install the Yahoo toolbar or any other toolbar for that matter? If so, go into the settings and change the Autocomplete. Or here's an even better idea: uninstall the festering piece of junk.
