I wouldn't buy a 5400 RPM drive, especially not with as little as 8 MB cache.

Look for 7200 RPM and 16 MB cache, even if you have to reduce the size somewhat.

Seagate has its Momentus 7200.4 (ST9500420AS) which is a 500gb 7200rpm 16MB SATA-II 2.5" drive. It's no longer available at Newegg (sold out), but you can find it at other stores. Most reviews seem to be quite positive.

Otherwise, WD, Hitachi, Samsung et al all offer 7200rpm/16MB drives in the 320gb capacity; all of them will work fine in the Z.

i have a western digital Scorpio black 320gb, 7200rpm and 16mb cache drive running in mine and it runs well.

Agree with the above comments, 5400rpm is going to limmit your machine, particualry on video capability.
