    Are there any speed differences between the two for read and write? Any dramatic pros and cons that I'll notice between the two aside from the obvious larger capacity on the 512? Will the 512 be much more prone to disk failure due to the larger capacity?

    Just trying to weigh the pros and cons of each before ordering.

    All I can say is my 512 array is fast beyond believe (like extracting a full DVD iso in a few seconds fast) and I actually need the storage :) So if you have the cash to spare, go for it!
