Had something interesting come up...I took my Z (1st Gen Signature) to Barnes & Noble, as I had some work to do. While I'm there, I noticed my battery seemed to not have energy sapped from it. I was not plugged into an outlet. It was 100% the entire time I was there, which was well over an hour.

I put it to sleep, got home, plugged it in...and the battery light next to the wireless light along the front right of the laptop is constantly flashing. Would this mean that my battery is going bad? When I unplug the machine, it operates just fine for now.

I bought the battery from Sony; it's the extended battery. I've seen no problems with it at any point over the life of the machine...but that doesn't mean there's no issue.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What does VAIO Control Center say for battery health?

Huh, very interesting...I unplugged the battery and replugged it in...and now it's at 14% and charging. I find that to be *very* interesting. I'm no longer getting the flashing light, either. So I guess, for now, it's fixed. Perhaps something bumped it and got it offline or something.
