    Z problem: S1 key is silent, S2 beeps LOUDLY

    um... any advice?

    I renamed the pi.wav file in the VAIO Event Service folder.

    If you've already renamed the pi.wav file (and the S1 button is now silent), I assume the beep is coming from whatever process it triggered when you press the S2 button...

    What do you have assigned to the S2 button?

    Yeah, do check what action you are assigned. For example, if you assigned S1 to be mute... :p I think you only get beep when assigning it to some Sony programs.
