I recently bought the sony vaio z620 (canadian)

    http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/se...d=1006038&navigationPath=n32009n100299n100509

and according to the website it says that it has 256mb dedicated video memory and max is 1500mb but when i go to display settings>advanced settings> it says that I have 128MB dedicated video memory and the max is 1372mb.

is it supposed to be like this?
also, does this even make a lot of difference?

I'm not sure why yours is like that. Mine's a Z590 and has 256MB dedicated video memory.

1366x768? If so, I know the US versions all have 128 and the 1600x900 all have 256. I think it's actually correct that you got 128 on a 1366x768 screen.

If you read the main thread, there is a discussion that 256 is only useful at very high resolutions games, which you probably won't be using anyway because the graphics card is not that great.

128 may even be better than 256 at normal resolutions. Either way, it's a nonfactor because it does not make much of a difference, VRAM is not very important.
